Tuesday Morning Sketches #26

Good Morning! Happy Tuesday! We are so glad to see you here.

Before I show you this week's sketch and what the amazing things my team has made to share with you, we must say good-bye to two members. Yep, two. First of all, to Iwona (aka Chupa) as this week is her last week and she's been a wonderful Guest Designer! It's been a joy to have her here. We are also saying good-bye to Joni. She's decided to step down from TMS to focus on a couple of teams that she's on and bigger than that, her own company.

I cannot express how much I have enjoyed having these two wonderfully talented stampers on TMS's team. I wish them both the best and I'm sure we'll still see them around. Joni is already working on bribes for my kids when it's their turn to do the random draw.

So here's today's sketch and it is a challenge, that's for sure. But, hey, that's why we're here, right?

Fun, right? Let me take a second to thank Kathy, owner of Pixie Dust Studio for sending us some images to play with, too!

First up, we have Iwona's super adorable card. I think she used her infant daughter as inspiration for this lovely pink combo. The frame is so well done being backed by dark card stock. Thanks for being such a wonderful Guest Designer!

Next we have Joni's adorable lion and lamb card. How wonderful this sight will be to see in Heaven. Click to get a close-up and you'll see that she flocked the animals which adds such wonderful texture.

Awww - this card is from Tammy and it's just wonderful! What a fantastic image that will work for the Boy Scout to Solider in our lives. Great card!

This card is from Theresa and it's absolutely amazing! The image is from December's KOM from Unity and I love it! The sentiment is just wonderful, too!

Finally here is my card. I really wanted an aged look to this card which meant I strayed from my sketch. My inspiration came from a frame that a sweet friend made for me, so I tried to convey that in my card.

Now it's your turn! We can hardly wait to see what you do with the sketch, so come back here and link directly to your project and leave us a comment.

** This challenge is now closed. Thank you to everyone who participated. **

  1. Oh these are all so adorable! I love what the DT did with this sketch. The more I see it, the more I realize how literal (and boring) I took it. lol!! Chupa's card is amazing with all the happy colors, Tammy's out of the frame soldiers are incredible, Theresa's mixed patterns are so wonderful with that KOM image, and your deer and bunny are so sweet with that distressed frame! Wonderful job from the DT, I will definitely miss my Tuesday posting, but know that I will be here with bribes, ready for the next challenge. lol!! GO GABBY!!!

  10. Fun frame effect on this sketch, Melissa, and it was easier to achieve mitred corners than I expected. Maybe I should take up carpentry?? Nope, I cheated and only cut one corner on each strip!

Awesome takes on this sketch, DT!

  11. Hi Melissa. So glad you stopped by the Whimsie Doodles blog hop. You are absolutely right... that IS the sketch from you. And I forgot to mention it. I'll fix that right away. Again thanks as I did intend to give you the credit. BTW... you're now on my 'challenge list'. Great job!
