Tuesday Morning Sketches #68

Good Morning!  I hope you're as excited as I am for this week's challenge.  I hinted yesterday that this had something to do with another one of my pasttimes.  I love to bake.  I love cooking - one of my favorite things is to try new recipes.  I also love love love challenges.  Whether they are craft related or TV shows - I love them!  I particularly enjoy watching Cupcake Wars on the Food Network.  So watching an episode gave me the idea to do a Cupcake Challenge here on TMS.

So the challenge this week and its a Judged Challenge is....

CUPCAKES, CUPCAKES, CUPCAKES

You can make cupcakes and decorate packaging, you can make cupcake shaped cards, you can make cards that feature cupcakes.  Whatever you choose to do, cupcakes must be in your project.

I announced yesterday that Sparkle Creations is sponsoring us this week.  So the winner of the Judged Challenge will not only be a featured stamper here on TMS in two weeks, but will receive this great prize....

This is Cupcake Ruby, a rubber stamp from Sparkle Creations.  She is so adorable!

Now on to the yummy inspiration from the Design Team....

Up first we have two adorable cards from Angela.  I love the boy cupcake with his funny look and that girl cupcake with the long wispy eyelashes is just too cute!

Up next is this gorgeous cupcake box from Jackie!  I absolutely love how she embellished this box, those are sooo pretty!!

This super sweet set is from Jessica.  You'll have to visit her blog for all the details, but the cupcake itself is a little flower pot and the cupcake part is a stryofoam ball - her cupcake is a very yummy ornament!

Tammy's sweet card comes with its own cake stand!  This is just darling!  Love the papers and Anya is so cute.

Now is this not the perfect Harvest display of cupcakes?  Tiya-B emailed me these pictures and I started drooling.  I got such a kick out of what she said, she told me that she actually felt like she was on the show Cupcake Wars and did a lovely display.  I say she needs to compete - I think she'd win!

Blogger frustrates me sometimes!  I tried to move this photo up so that it's level with the one above it and it just won't do it!  Urgh!!  Anyway, lastly here is my cupcake box and red velvet cupcakes.  I was in such a hurry to get my photos done, that when I started cropping the photos that I realized I meant to tie a ribbon around the cupcake.  So my project is a little under-dressed.   I kept my box pretty sweet and simple.

Alright, now it's your turn.  Pull out those mixers and cupcake pans.... card stock and Cricuts.  Enjoy this challenge - it's meant to be fun and free the inner baker in you!  Don't forget to come back here and link your project directly in the InLinkz Widget.  Do your best but have a great time.

  5. Wonderful challenge!

I've done an 5 years anniversary card and LOVED to hide part of the message inside a cupcake.
