Tuesday Morning Sketches #11

Good Morning!

Levi got his cast yesterday and he decided on red. And he is soooo happy to have his elbow back and doesn't have to use the sling!

Let's move on to today's challenge. Guess what! It's not a sketch. (Oh no! She's doing it again!) Nope, it's not a sketch and it's not a color challenge. I will tell you what it is... it's a JUDGED CHALLENGE. Whoo-hooo, I love these! Are you ready? The challenge is...

RIBBON!

Your card is to feature ribbon in either an unusual way or traditional way, or some way that you think up to give it the primary focus or as much focus as you give an image. Just wait til you see what the design team did with this!

First up we have Theresa's card that is very classy and elegant in black and white. I love how she used the ribbon as a draping type frame and very cool buckles, too. Beautiful!

This "creepy, crawly" project is from Joni. It's a pillow box using the ribbon to bring out more of the web - cute idea! The web is one of Joni's new images in her (paraphrased) all about shapes line for Inktegrity.

This very bright and cheery card is Tammy's take on the ribbon challenge and what a fun card. She used coordinating printed ribbon to create a bit of a weaved background and her image is from Nutshells.

How sweet is this card from Sheri. The red ribbon is so striking. And the cutie on the mushroom is a wonderful compliment to the hearts and bows. I'm not sure where the image is from, but I'm sure if you check out Sheri's blog, she'll let us know. Great card!

And finally, my card. I have to tell you that I really did try to create my own ribbon roses because I had wanted the roses to be a bit bigger than what I used. I failed and I found these little ones in my sewing box. The paper is from Papertrey Ink and I really love it. The sentiment is from a Unity KOM, August I believe. I am rather happy with the way this turned out.

OK - now it's your turn. Pull out all the stops and your ribbon stash! Have fun creating and don't forget to come back here after you've posted to link it up in Mr. Linky and leave a comment. This is a judged challenge so do your best work to not only win the prize but to be our featured stamper on Tuesday, September 29th. You have until Sunday, Sept 20th, 7pm EST to play along.
