Tuesday Morning Sketches #19

Good Morning!

Thank you for joining us for another sketch challenge - and this one is a challenge!! But first, I just realized that I forgot to announce the sponsor yesterday for this week's challenge. I think I was so wrapped up in trying to post a picture of the random generator thingy that I forgot. (Maxine - thank you for the tip. I'll give it a try next week.)

So this week's sponsor is The Pixie Cottage! Talk about adorable images! And do you get a lot of bang for your buck - their stamps are big which is nice for a quick card but are really nice for scrapbook pages which yields a bigger canvas. And here's what Michelle has offered for a prize:

and...

Here's the sketch we'll be working with today - and as I said, it is a challenge but I know you can do it!! Afterall, this is why we do them, to think outside the box and push ourselves in creativity and passion.

You may flip this, you may even see this sketch as just part of a card and go even further with it! It's up to you, just keep the basic elements of the sketch.

First up is Theresa and this is such a fabulous interpretation of the sketch - the color combo is great and her coloring is awesome! So darn cute!! He looks so sad, like he's separated from his bestest friend. He's telling her how he feels...

... And here she is returning the sentiment of how much she misses him. Here is Fabby Gabby's card and she did fabby for sure! You know what I think of when I look at this? I see this as the wonderful country art that is done on an embroidery hoop!

This is Joni's card and it's awesome. You'll have to visit her blog to see some other details to this card - it flips to reveal it's message! It's cool!! She colored this image perfectly!

Tammy used the sketch to create an adorable door hanger to add to her Fall decor. So very cute! I love the pumpkin behind the Scarecrow and how HOME is the horizontal element featured in the sketch.

And here's my card and I have to say I was really proud of this until I put in the line up with my team. I think my card pales in comparison! My team is fabulous and I am very blessed to have them. Like my card says, this is the season of blessing - the season of thanksgiving. I want to take a moment to thank my team for helping me every week and working so hard for my little blog. I appreciate each lady - they are amazing! I also want to thank Michelle for sharing her wonderful images with us. If you'd like, you can visit my blog to get the details on how I made this card.

Now it's your turn! I can't wait to see what you do with this sketch. Be sure to come back here and link it in Mr. Linky directly to your project. Leave comments, too, we love to hear from you.

And the winner is...

Good Morning! I trust you had a great weekend. Mine went by rather quickly. But don't they all?

I didn't have my children do the drawing this time. My sister and team member suggested that I use a site called Math Goodies for a random number generator. So I did and I can't figure out how to take a picture of it to show you the results. I don't have Snag-It which is the only program I know of that is used for screenshots. But we're all friends here, so I'm sure you believe the results without a picture. If you miss seeing my kids, please let me know.

The winner is, by random number generation is...

#3 Nancy - mulberrystation
** woot-woot ** whistles ** cheers **

Congratulations Nancy! You can see her card here. Please email me at tuesdaymorningsketches@gmail.com so I can forward to Jenny for your prize. Have fun!! They now have their Snopals available and I see a couple of images I'm going to have to get. Way cute!!

We'll see you here tomorrow for another sketch and another sponsor!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #18

Good Morning! Are you ready for a fun sketch and some really great cards from the design team? We have a very sweet sponsor this week. Ildi Co is here bringing her cuddly bears, sweet little clowns, robots and more that will steal your heart.

So here's the sketch we have to work with:

Interpret this how you wish, keep the dots in rows or go a little random. Have fun with this, just keep the basic elements in what you create.

First up, we have our Featured Stamper, Renata's card. Isn't this lovely? She used a really cute witch from Pixie Cottage. I really love how she added her sentiment directly to the ribbon.

And now for our November Guest Designer, my friend Gabby. This card features one of the Clownkins images and is colored perfectly in Gabby-style. Gorgeous color combo and I love the "spotlights."

Our school teacher, Theresa could not pass up using these little cuties. Again, from the Clownkins collection, school boy and school girl are featured here and again, perfect coloring! She was also so very excited when she and a friend, on a recent excursion to Archivers (despite all the snow), found this paper that fits this sketch to a T!

Here is Joni's card and this Emotibot is adorable! Oh my goodness he is so happy!! More perfect coloring and the screws couldn't be a more perfect touch to this boy card. Her paper is wonderful, too!

When Tammy emailed me this photo of her tag, she said that she strayed a bit. What an adorable stray she made! This is Kuma and I am pretty sure this was the company's first line when they launched a few months ago. This gift tag is just so cute!

And here is my card. I didn't do the straight line dots because after I started pulling this card together, I couldn't fit the same size dots. So I went random and I am really pleased with how it all turned out. I chose a Clownkins image as well. I colored him with Copics and did my own recessed embossing to create the card's center. Then I punched out 5/8" circles in a variety of bright colors. My sentiment says "Always in my thoughts, forever in my heart" - I made that up and placed in a text box so that I can print it directly under the clown and cut as one piece. I added one final touch that is making my friend Joni so proud of me....

I flocked a couple of brads. I am very intimidated by flocking, I don't know how to use it well or really where best to use it. The image has two pom-poms on his suit but I wanted lift, so I dipped two brads into some tacky glue and then stuck them into the flocking and let dry. I am so happy with the way this worked out.

OK now it's your turn. Go make your card or layout, post it and then come back here to link up in Mr. Linky. Also please leave a comment for the team - they work so hard for you each week, they deserve a little love. I can't wait to see what you make!

And the winner is...

Good Morning!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. My children had a blast at the Trunk or Treat event that we participated in with our church. My oldest son played football the entire time. The other two had a blast going from car to car. We can put the costumes away now.

And speaking of costumes, the Costume Party was a blast! Not many guests, but what we saw was super fantabulous!! And now for a the drawing...

Here's Levi happy to do the drawing. Levi, give me a winner!

Oh my goodness, this is the first time that I've had a winner drawn that made the Top 5 the previous week! The winner is...

#6 Laurie Marmon
** whoot-whoot ** whistles ** applause **

Congratulations Laurie, you can see Laurie's project here. I trust your hubby loved his goodie bag? Thank you to everyone that joined us at the party - you all did a fantastic job.

So we'll see you back here tomorrow for a new sketch and a new sponsor. This week's challenge will be sponsored by a new digi-company - Ildi Co. Talk about some really cute images. I personally fell in love with the Clownkins line despite my fear of clowns. I don't see how I could possibly be afraid of these guys though. And let me tell you, I've already seen a couple cards that the DT made and OH MY STARS are you in for a treat! See you tomorrow!!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #17

Good Morning! Happy Halloween Week! I know my kids are looking forward to this weekend. I'm just happy we gain an hour.

Let's just get into the challenge because it is going to be a fun one. Welcome to my Masquerade Halloween Party! In order to attend this party, you need to take an item and dress it up in costume. It can be Halloween theme, but if you're not into Halloween, you are more than welcome to use an Autumn theme or whatever you choose. And for your inspiration and viewing pleasure, let's see what the design team did to share with you.

Up first we have Joni's band-aid tin dressed up in Inktegrity's very adorable Frankenstein costume. As Joni said, she knows band-aid tins very well - with 6 children in the house, I'm sure she can take stock in Johnson & Johnson.

Here's Theresa's coffee tin all decked out in a pretty dress of alcohol inks that's been accessorized with fun ribbon and witchy pendant. Fill this happy little box with tricks or treats and yummy sweets. The adorable witch image is from CTMH.

Tammy brought another tin to the party. Is this super cute or what!? She created a memory match game and dressed up a card tin to match. Her images are from The Greeting Farm.

Shelly brought two guests the party. First up her mini clip board is ready to add decor to anyplace it sits. It's full of texture, oooey-goooey touches and lots of sentiments. Her other friend is a really cute Frankie goodie box. This is also Shelly's last week for her Guest Designer spot - I want to say THANK YOU for being so wonderful and I look forward to having you still play along!

And my guest is a mosaic tile tray ($1.99 at Michaels) that is all dressed up for a fun Halloween themed picture frame. This is for my mom that I'll give her after Halloween when I have pictures of the kids in their costumes. The images are from Lindsay's Stamp Stuff.

So go pull out your treasures that have been waiting for you to alter! Post them and then come right back here to link them up directly in Mr. Linky. Again, you do not have to use a Halloween theme to enter. It must be an altered item though. Have fun doing this - we can't wait to see what you do with this challenge.

Also, the call is still open for a Guest Designer for December. If you're interested, put DGD behind your name when you link up in Mr. Linky. I'll be making a decision very soon.

Good Morning! I hope everyone had a great weekend. The weather here was gorgeous yesterday and I actually got my hubby to complete a project! Yay!! Our dogs are so happy.

Well, as you know this past week was a judged challenge. These are very difficult, which is why it's done only once a month. The team and I find it challenging to choose. So by very close vote the winner is...

Before I go on, I want to give a great big thanks to Jessica and her team for being so fabulous for this challenge. I have so many emails going back and forth with Jessica - the effort she gave to make this just perfect was wonderful! I have really enjoyed having these conversations with her and I am sad that I missed the Friday Night chat - I fell asleep. LOL

Now, for tomorrow's challenge - it is a FUN FUN FUN one!! And I am the sponsor this week. I have been collecting the items for this prize bit by bit and I think the winner is really going to love it. So we'll see you back here tomorrow for another great challenge. I'm going to give you a little hint to so you can get yourself prepared... it's not a sketch! See you tomorrow.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #16

Good Morning! Yesterday was absolutely gorgeous out, let's hope we're in for more of the same today. Let's just go ahead and jump right into this week's challenge. I really love this sketch and I am absolutely thrilled that There She Goes stamps is sponsoring us this week. Jessica has a super awesome prize up for grabs. A $15 stamp set of the winner's choice! And if that's not great all by itself, get this... you also have another chance to win at the TSG Blog where another $15 stamp set is up for grabs! Isn't that exciting!!

So here we go. First, here's the sketch.

This is such a great sketch for a longer card as well as a regular A2 size card. Have fun with. Flip it. Tweak it. Do it how you like it, just keep the basic sketch in tact. I can't wait to see what you do, but first, let's see what the Team did with it.

This is Shelly's card and it's so beautiful with the warm colors of this fall collection of papers. I have the same pack and you'll see that Shelly and I were thinking along the same lines. I absolutely love the buttons and the handwritten sentiment.

Tammy's card is so sweet and in the a fabulous color combo. She used TGF and Say It With Stamps by Jen images.

Heeeere's Theresa! I am telling you, Jessica couldn't have asked for a more loyal fan of TSG stamps than my sister. I absolutely love the Victorian-in-fall colors feel to this card. The rich chocolate ribbon with pearls is perfect! The stamp set is awesome. One I sent to her for her birthday.... and she already had it! LOL

This is Joni's card and features an up and coming digi-stamp artist. These images are from Ozzy Inks, created by Oscar Arriaza, Jr. - age 10. If you'd like more info you can get that here. I love how she used Inktegrity's fence and the googly eyes for the other elements of the sketch. And hey! She didn't flip it!

Here's my card. I am so happy with how this turned out! I love the colors. I used the same Autumn paper pack that Shelly used - this blue is such a gorgeous color. The images are from the Bloom set available at TSG - it's a wonderful set. Lots of flowers and lots of sentiments. I finished it off with some tiny punched out flowers that I colored to resemble the flowers in the image and tied them to the ribbon with linen thread.

And guess what! This week's challenge is a JUDGED CHALLENGE. So the winner not only gets a great stamp set but will be the featured stamper on November 3rd. So do your very best work. I'm also on the hunt for a Guest Designer for December, so if you're interested, put DGD behind your name when you link up.

Don't forget to head on over to the TSG Blog to see what Jessica and her Trendsetters made, too. I'm heading over there now! But before you go, just a reminder when you've finished your card or project, sign your name in Mr. Linky and leave a link directly to your project and leave us a comment. OK - go get crafting!
